  2. Its just 3 weeks since I know about Fetna and I attended couple of volunteers meeting. I was so much impressed by the level of dedication and commitment shown by the leaders at the top and I was inspired to do my best to make the event a big success. We were all working like a single family with only one goal and I am sure we achieved the goal. I am proud to be the part of the "one of the best volunteers team" to organise Tamil Vizha as mentioned by one of our guest from Virginia and of course everyone will agree on that. I personally got to know about many new friends. My heartfelt thanks to Anitha Thangamani for pulling me into this event and to Arsu, Abay, Narendran, Ravi, Bhaskar, Sathya, Shankar, Subbu etc.. for their excellent support and guidance.

  4. You showed it to the skeptics and rest on how to organize a successful Tamil event. To organize a HOUSE-FULL and Successful Tamil EVENT during a recession is not an easy task. This would not have been possible without a committed leadership and volunteer team. I really enjoyed working with all of you. Once again thank you all.

  5. I never thought any post- college function can be this much fun...FETNA brought me fond memories of college cultural festival.... it was so grand and rich and each and every show was great!! But the best part was the solidarity and the endless efforts that the team put to make it such a great event.... Every one was literally and in reality sweating it out.. the lead, co-ods, volunteers, cultural teams- well, This is my first FETNA but I am sure there cannot be a better FETNA ever unless we get it back to Atlanta....Nandu used to say that he worked 8 hours in office and then 8 hours back at home for FETNA- To all the leadership and volunteers- your hard work transpired into Success!!I wish I could have stayed longer in Atlanta and helped more...Thanks so much for giving such a grand show....

  7. In the very outset, I would like to commend the outstanding effort of all the lead organizers of FeTNA 2009 Thamizh Vizha here in Atlanta - special kudos to Abhay, Anand, Arsu, Chand, Uma, Bala, Nandu, Nagi and many others who were always friendly working selflessly for very many weeks and months to make this huge event a grand success. I am proud to see all your sincerity and dedication for our community and the momentum generated by you made a colossal impact to all the volunteers who executed your plans and vision to the best of their ability.

    I was happy to be associated with the Stage/Program/Audio-Video Management team working closely with the dedicated set of people - Bala, Manavalan, Deepa, Uma, Sudhaher, Bhuvana, Sasee, Siva Nathan and Selva as one nice big family. I personally made many new friends and learnt many new things that I was not exposed to earlier relating to Stage, Program and overall event management for such a huge event as FeTNA 2009 Thamizh Vizha in Atlanta.

    I would be quite happy to work with you all for any future events.

    Sincerely,
    Siva

  8. On Sunday 7/5/2009, the day after the Tamil Vizha was over, there as a great satisfaction that everything turned out to be great with several guests and artist's giving there accolade as they saw any volunteers cross by. I returned home light hearted with happy feeling that I can catch up with my sleep. But after a good afternoon nap, I woke-up heavy hearted with a feeling similar to home sickness that we experience immediately after returning from a short trip to India.

    We definitely have come together as a big family and worked so hard for so many days. We should feel proud to have shrugged our differences and come together to make this Tamil Vizha such a great success. I strongly feel that new benchmark has been set with big expectations on all of the future events not only of FeTNA, but every one of our GATS functions. So let us continue this big stride and break all the barriers to continue our journey as a family.

    With love,
    Ramesh Namperumal

  11. Posted for DR MM in a message to one of our Key volunteer;

    Thank you very much for giving me an opportunity to be part of the festivity .I wanted to thank u in person on Thursday night but could not.but i did see you on stage when you were honored ,Congratulation for all of you for conducting a successful excellent convention.you should all be very proud of it.The programmes are good but too many redundant speeches ,Strict time enforcement would have eliminated many of the delays so much so the excellent music concert by mahanathi Shobna is missed by many,There were very few in auditorium watch that.The food was very good,The selection of the venue is excellent
    The cme was excellent, on time very pertinent, You should have Dr Indran Krishnan every year hereafter .
    Again congratulation and thank you.
    Regards
    M.M
